The UK is working on meeting its ambitions for 10 GW of low-carbon production capacity of hydrogen by 2030. To meet this target, the UK Government has announced fundings for approximately GBP 20 billion over the next 20 years, specifically for CCUS projects (also known as Hydrogen Allocation Rounds (HAR)), where the next funding round will support hydrogen projects with up to 875 MW capacity.

Concurrently, funds such as the Net Zero Hydrogen Fund (NZHF) and the Hydrogen Business Model (HBM) will be providing 240 million GBP in funding of upfront costs of development and capital expenditures.

With this background, Danish Industry and the Trade Council in the UK are organising a business delegation to London, where you will get the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders (product developers, financers and investors as well as off-takers) within the hydrogen industry.

The UK and Denmark have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding cooperation on the green transition, which covers hydrogen. This makes the timing ideal for solidifying the Danish expertise in the industry and meet Government representatives to gain insights to the UK market.
